Overview: The Chase Sapphire Preferred card is one of of the best cards for travel. The card earns 2X points on dining at restaurants and travel (which includes other ridesharing services) and 1x on all other purchases.

Annual Fee: $95 annual fee.

Overview: The Chase Freedom Unlimited card earns 5% cash back on Lyft rides through March 2022. The Chase Freedom Unlimited is another one of my favorite credit cards.  It earns 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase; 3% on drugstores and dining at restaurants (including takeout and eligible delivery services); and 1.5% on all other purchases.

Overview: The Chase Sapphire Reserve card earns by far the largest number of points for Lyft rides because of the Chase-Lyft partnership. The Chase Sapphire Reserve card earns 10x total points on Lyft rides through March 2022 and 1 year of complimentary Lyft Pink membership per account (which offers 15% off car rides, relaxed cancellations, priority airport pickups, and up to three free 30-minute bike and scooter rides per month).

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card is useful card for frequent travelers as it earns 3X points per $1 spent on travel (which includes other ridesharing services) and dining purchases worldwide.  It has a high annual fee of $550 but the fee is offset by an up to $300 annual travel credit and up to $100 application fee credit for Global Entry or TSA Precheck.  Other features of this card include complimentary Priority Pass™ Select lounge access, travel protections, including Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver, Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance, Trip Delay Reimbursement, Travel and Emergency Assistance Services, Travel Accident Insurance and more.

Overview: The American Express® Green Card is one of the best Amex cards for Lyft rides. Although it has a $150 annual fee it earns 3X points on travel including hotels, transit, taxis, tours, ridesharing services, restaurants worldwide. It also offers a $100 credit for CLEAR membership and a $100 credit when you purchase lounge access through LoungeBuddy.

Although it has a $95 annual fee it earns 6% cash back at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $6,000 per year in purchases) and on select U.S. streaming subscriptions; 3% cash back on transit (including taxis/rideshare, parking, tolls, trains, buses and more) and gas at U.S. gas stations and 1% cash back on other purchases.

The Chase Ink Business Preferred earns 5x points on Lyft rides through March 2022.

World Elite Mastercard credit cards – Earn $10 in Lyft credit every month for 5 Lyft rides

If you have a World Elite Mastercard you can $10 in Lyft credit every month you take 5 qualifying rides and pay with your World Elite Mastercard. This is most useful for those that take Lyft a few times a month especially for short distances.

As you can see because of the Chase-Lyft partnership most of the best credit cards for Lyft are issued by Chase. While the premium Chase Sapphire Reserve card earns 10X points for Lyft rides, it has a high annual fee so it is only useful for frequent travelers.  Other Chase cards earn 5X for Lyft rides including the Chase Freedom Unlimited and Chase Freedom Flex cards (which have NO annual fee) the Chase Sapphire Preferred card (which is probably the best travel credit card with a reasonable annual fee of $95).
