Marriott Bonvoy recently made it easier to transfer your points to another person’s account. Previously you could transfer points to another account but you had to call. Now you can easily transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to another account online in a couple of minutes.
Here are the rules for transferring points to another person:
• Both Marriott Bonvoy accounts must be in good-standing and have each been open for at least thirty (30) days with Qualifying Activity or ninety (90) days without Qualifying Activity.
• Minimum transfer amount is 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
• Can transfer up to a maximum of 100,000 points per calendar year to other accounts.
• A member can receive up to a maximum of 500,000 points per calendar year from other member accounts.

How to Transfer Marriott Bonvoy Points to Another Person
Here is a step by step guide on how to transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to another person.
Log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account.
Click on “About Marriott Bonvoy” on the top right.
Click on “How to Use Points/Awards”
Then click on “Manage Points”
Scroll down the page a little and you will see three options.
Click on “Transfer Points Share your points with other Marriott Bonvoy members” (the 3rd option on the right side)
You will be taken to the Points Transfer form. All you need to do is to enter your recipient’s details (first name, last name and recipient Marriott Bonvoy number) and the amount of points to transfer.
You will see a confirmation that your points were sent.
The screen says to wait up to 24 hours for your transfer to process, but I checked my account and the points were in my account in less than 10 minutes.
