The United Club lounge in Terminal 2 is mentioned in reviews as the nicest United Club at Chicago O’Hare. There are four United Club lounges at O’Hare – three in Terminal 1 and one in Terminal 2. I have previously visited the United Club lounges near gates B18 and C16 in Terminal 1 so I was curious to see how this one would compare.
To enter, check in at the desk and proceed up the escalator or stairs.
At the top is another desk. Phone booths and a business center are next to this desk. The business center is really just a small room with no computers for use.
As soon as I entered the lounge, I liked it more than the United Club lounges near gate B18 and C16. This United Club was redesigned in 2012 and the design is definitely more modern.
The lounge is long and narrow with great views.
Although the design was pretty open, the window seats were a good spot for some privacy.
Free Wi-Fi, magazines and newspapers were available.
There are two food stations in this lounge. The first one is right at the entrance.
The second food station is towards the back.
This United Club lounge offered United’s new upgraded food selections. As my visit was in the early morning, the offerings were breakfast items (oatmeal, granola, Greek yogurt, etc.).
A manned bar was located in the middle of the lounge.
Overall, the United Club lounge in Terminal 2 at Chicago O’Hare airport is a decent lounge and certainly much better than the other two United Club lounges at ORD I previously visited. The free wi-fi, good seating options and OK selection of food make this a not too bad place to wait before a flight.
