We always love reading the annual lists of places to visit published by various newpapers and travel websites in December or January of each year.  We always hope to discover a new destination for our future sister trips.
The New York Times list is one of our favorites.  Here is the complete list for 2014.

We visited Namibia in 2006 and we definitely think it is a great place to visit that is not on most Americans’ radar.  Also on the list is Taiwan which we are visiting in less than 2 weeks.
