Our flight home was the same type of plane (777-200) that we flew on the Chicago to Tokyo leg of our trip.  We booked this flight using 67,500 American AAdvantage miles plus $32.30 in fees per person (but received miles back for having an American Airlines credit card).

As mentioned in our previous post, the first class cabin consists of 16 seats (four rows in a 1-2-1 configuration).  We always choose the middle seats so we can lower the divider and chat during the meal service.

The amenities and service were exactly the same as on our other flight so we will try not to repeat ourselves too much here.  Our seats had blankets, an amenity kit, Bose noise cancelling headphones and slippers available for use.

Although the food and wine menu were similar to our previous American first class flight, they did vary a bit.  In both cases, we were satisfied with our options.

Below are some photos of the menu and what we ordered.  Our apologies for the blurry photos but it sure was a bumpy ride!

The only negative thing we can say about this flight is that it lacked storage.  Maybe it’s just us but we appreciate having enough compartments to tuck away all our stuff.  Not a huge deal by any means – more of a personal pet peeve.

In any case, like our previous American Airlines international first class flight, this was a comfortable flight with a flat bed.
