ANA, All Nippon Airways
Flight: NH960
Shanghai Pudong (PVG) – Tokyo Narita (NRT)
Aircraft: 767-300
Business Class
This flight was our Plan B. We hoped to fly directly from Singapore to Tokyo in Singapore Suites but had to settle for a shorter flight in Singapore Suites followed by this ANA flight. Our flight was delayed by three hours so it’s safe to say this was our least favorite flight of the trip.
Seats
The seats in ANA’s 767-300 business cabin are in a 2-1-2 configuration. If we were traveling solo, we would definitely choose the single seat.
Seats were the standard reclining type typically found in short haul business class.
There was no floor storage for bags.
The flight was pretty full- fellow passengers were almost exclusively Asian businessmen.
Amenities and Service
Blankets and slippers were provided.
As mentioned before, the flight was delayed by several hours. It boarded late and then sat on the runway for a while before takeoff. We never found out the reason for the delay but the flight attendants were really apologetic.
Our flight ended up arriving at Tokyo Narita past midnight. At that time, it was definitely too late to catch an airport limousine bus and probably too late for the train. Fortunately, ANA had organized buses to shuttle passengers to Tokyo Station and a few other spots. We had to wait 30 minutes for the bus but we were happy to have a transportation option.
Food and Drink
The food was OK. There is a choice between an international or Japanese meal, with the exact meal changing every month.
Here are some photos (click to enlarge) of the menu and what we ordered.
Overall, this was an OK flight in business class. Our experience was kinda soured by the delay and late arrival but at least ANA provided free transportation to Tokyo.

Took ANA J class NRT-PVG last year – though on their 787 which was very nice, had regional J class seats. ANA is simply one of the best carriers out there for service and product (and I’ve flown them J and F). The western food selections aren’t always to my liking, but they do a superb job in presentation, and the cabin crews’ decorum, I’ve found, to be exemplary. Next time I’ll try ANA’s Asian menu.
The cabin crew has always been great on our ANA flights as well- can’t think of a single time they were just okay.
Thank you for the nice compliment:)
