We stopped by the United Global First Lounge, United’s international first class lounge at Tokyo Narita, during our short layover. We did not spend much time at this lounge as we had a short just over an hour connection made even shorter by having to go through security.
The United Global First Lounge is accessible from the entrance to the United Club lounge. Find the elevator just inside the entrance to the United Club and take it one floor up to the United Global First Lounge.
The first thing we noticed upon entering the United Global First Lounge was the view.
The lounge was spacious and had plenty seating options.
Down a hallway towards the back of the lounge was a nice private area with cubicles and workstations.
It’s a bit difficult to spot in the photo below but next to the baskets were four tiny rooms, each with a massage chair.
A shower room is also available but we did not have time to check it out.
As a whole, the lounge was not very packed. The few people that were in the lounge mostly hung around the food area.
The smallish food selection looked ok but we did not have time to try it.
There was a self-serve station of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We usually grab a bottle of water on our way out but there were none at this lounge. We ended up purchasing water from a yen-only vending machine near our gate.
Overall, the United Global First Lounge in Tokyo Narita was a spacious and comfy lounge. It is a good place to work or relax. The food and beverage selection didn’t offer too many options but with our short connection we didn’t have time to linger anyway.

The lounge have a great shower facility. Heated towel rack and real clean bathroom.
Thanks Kin, good to know! Hopefully one day we will have enough to try the shower.
Wish they would change out some of the food once in awhile (seems like the same food since forever). Nevertheless, it’s very quiet and spacious which is a huge plus compared to downstairs.
Hopefully they will add more food options soon! Really enjoyed that it was quiet and spacious. Don’t like sitting in congested lounges:)
It is an O.K. lounge with lousy wifi speeds, probably because the regular lounge downstairs is always packed to the gills.
In the past 6 trips through NRT in the past 4 mos. I am finding myself always ending up the ANA lounge down the hall. ANA has uber fast wifi and much better food IMHO, including the custom noodle bar.
Sounds like the ANA lounge would have been better even though we were short on time. Will definitely check it out next time passing through NRT.
Next time, don’t waste your time. Take the 5 minute walk to ANA lounge. Their business lounge is 10 times better than United global F lounge. Though I have never been in the ANA F lounge
Thanks for the advice Alex. Will head to the ANA lounge next time- have not had a chance to check it out yet.
