I had never heard of Mississauga before but ended up here as a wedding guest. The Hampton Inn by Hilton Toronto-Mississauga West was the suggested hotel. Although fairly basic, this hotel is a good value choice.

Location

Hampton Inn by Hilton Toronto-Mississauga West is located outside Toronto, near the Toronto Pearson International Airport. There is another Hampton Inn by Hilton in Mississauga hence the need for “West” in the name.

This hotel is a good choice for anyone driving as there is good highway access and plenty of parking. Although the surrounding area is not the most walkable, many casual restaurants are located close by.

Room

The room was clean and had a comfortable bed.

Our specific room had a microwave and an empty mini fridge. We requested the fridge prior to arrival but upon check-in were told one was not available. We entered what we thought was a fridge-less room and lo and behold…a fridge.

Amenities

Coffee, water and fruit are complimentary in the lobby area.

Free breakfast (served in the dining area and lobby) is included in the room rate.

In addition to free wifi in the rooms, a small business center with two desktops is available for guests.

While not the most appealing for adult use, the small-ish indoor pool would be good for anyone traveling with children.

A tiny fitness center consisted of three pieces of cardio equipment, a ball and some dumbbells.

Service

We did not have much interaction with staff as we only stayed for one night and had many wedding activities to attend. There was some confusion during check in over the fridge thing but everything worked out anyway. And always appreciated, we were allowed a late check out.

Overall, I found the Hampton Inn by Hilton Toronto-Mississauga West to be a good budget hotel near the Toronto Pearson International Airport.  You get a clean and comfortable room with many amenities (free wi-fi, free breakfast, minifridge, microwave, indoor pool and free parking) for a reasonable rate.
