After EVA Air temporarily suspended Hello Kitty service back in April, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EVA Air has finally resumed Hello Kitty service.
Only three (3) routes offer Hello Kitty airplanes and service so far:
Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) – Chicago O’Hare (ORD) – BR56/55 – Effective March 27, 2023
Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) – Sapporo (CTS) – BR116/115 – Effective April 1, 2023
Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) – Bali (DPS) – BR255/256 – Effective April 1, 2023
You can find more information on exact timetables on the EVA Air dedicated Hello Kitty page.
We had the opportunity to experience flying on a Hello Kitty flight (twice!) a few months before the pandemic.
We flew EVA Air business class from Taipei to Chicago, which is one of the routes that just resumed its Hello Kitty service.
We also flew Hello Kitty economy class from Singapore to Taipei – but that route has not resumed Hello Kitty service yet.
While we prefer to fly business class on long haul flights, we thought that the Hello Kitty experience was actually better in economy. Economy class had more cute and fun Hello Kitty touches, while in business class the Hello Kitty amenities were more understated.
