The United Global First lounge, United Airline’s international first class lounge at Chicago O’Hare airport, is easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. It is somewhat hidden in Terminal 1, Concourse C, near Gate C18.
The United Global First lounge was not huge. It was, however, fairly empty during our visit so we found it very comfortable and relaxing.
There were various types of seats. The seating configuration allowed for some privacy from neighbors. Outlets to charge electronic devices were easily accessible.
Free wi-fi was available in the lounge. What initially looked like a computer room turned out to be a room with just cubicles.
We arrived at the United Global First lounge around 10:30 a.m so the food was mostly breakfast/brunch items. The selection included cereal, oatmeal, sushi, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, fruit, pastries and cookies.
There was a menu on offer with additional items not at the food station.
A large selection of self-serve drinks was available including bottled water, sodas, juice and a good selection of alcoholic beverages.
While the United Global First lounge at Chicago O’Hare was not as impressive as some of the other first class lounges we visited on this trip, we thought it was a comfortable spot to wait before our flight. The only drawback was the location. The United Global First lounge was in a different concourse than our gate. We are fast walkers but it still took us 15 minutes to navigate the crowds to our gate.
Update: This United Global First lounge will be closing June 16, 2016 and will be converted to a brand-new United PolarisSM Lounge launching December 1, 2016. Global First passengers will have a dedicated lounge space within the adjacent United Club near gate C16.

I love this lounge. You meet so many United staff here because they are busy eating all the food!
Did not run into any staff eating while we were there but it was still early. The staff is really nice though. Had visited this lounge with my mom last year and they gave us some chocolates.
