The Shop Away Sweepstakes is giving 1 winner 150,000 United miles AND $5,000 in gift cards and cash!
The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old and are also MileagePlus® members at the time of entry. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The sweepstakes ends on October 18, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. Central time.
To enter, visit the Shop Away Sweepstakes page at http://www.mileageplusshopping.com/sweeps____.htm?promoname=uasept2014sweeps and register. Upon registration you will receive one (1) entry. There are opportunities to also earn additional entries by taking the following actions:
- Opt-in to e-mail communications.
- Click on featured merchant banner advertisement.

Complete an online purchase through the MileagePlus® shopping site.
- Mail in entries.
The grand prize winner will receive 150,000 United MileagePlus® award miles credited to winner’s account and (5) $500 gift cards, from a variety of merchants and a check of $2,500.
There will also be 3 first prize winners who will each win 20,000 United MileagePlus® award miles credited their accounts.
Some flights that can be redeemed with 150,000 United miles at the saver award level include the following:
- 6 economy or 3 business class round trip tickets within mainland US, Alaska and Canada
- 3 one way first class tickets between mainland US and Hawaii
- 5 one way business class flights from the US to Mexico, Caribbean or Central America
- 5 one way economy flights from the US to Europe
- 1 round trip business class ticket between the US and Asia, Australia or Africa (with a few miles to spare)
