glam squad app reviews

Although I’m usually low-maintenance when I travel, there are occasions (special events, important meeting, date nights, etc.) that might warrant a little more effort.  Such was the case recently when I found myself in New York for a fancy-shmancy formal event and wanted a professional blowout.

Instead of looking for a blow dry bar, I decided to have a stylist come to me.  I booked a blowout with Glamsquad as it required the least amount of effort on my part.  The Glamsquad app shows real-time availability, which is really convenient for a last minute appointment. The app is for iPhones only but for android users, such as myself, you are also able to book via an online request form.  Using the website takes a little longer (2 hours) to confirm an appointment.

Overall, my blowout was super easy to schedule and I was happy with the entire process. The only thing I had to do was make sure there was an available power outlet and have wet hair. I was especially satisfied with the results and the stylist. I asked her a little about what type of people typically use Glamsquad and was told it was a mix of travelers and busy locals. She did mention that many models and editors use the service during Fashion Week so it’s best to book ahead if you’re planning to use Glamsquad at that time.
